Corsair
Famous for its distinctive inverted gull wing, the Vought F4U-1A Corsair entered service in 1943 and became the US Navy's premier fighter in the Pacific. This F4U-1A, No.29, was flown by Lt. Ira C. “Ike Kepford”, one of the Navy's top WWII Pacific Ace's. A total of 12,571 F4U Corsairs were produced with the last production run completed in Dec. 1952.
