Grumman's F6F Hellcat was one of the greatest fighters ever built. Hellcats shot down 5,156 enemy aircraft in air combat achieving more aerial victories than any other fighter.
Our Hellcat t-shirt depicts the Minsi III, an F6F-5 flown by David Campbell. Scoring 34 victories in a single tour, Cmdr. Campbell was the Navy's number one WWII ace. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for scoring nine air-to-air victories on a single mission in 1944.
