Western Diamond Back Rattlesnake
(Crotalus atrox)

This rattlesnake can be found throughout the Southwestern United States and northern Mexico. The venomous bite of the rattlesnake can be deadly to humans. However, most rattlesnakes will not strike unless provoked or disturbed. This snake's diet consists mainly of small birds and rodents. The Western Diamondback Rattlesnake can exceed 7ft in length and its coloring can vary from dark browns to light sandy colors.
