Road Runner
(Geococcyx californianus)

Roadrunners can run as fast as 20 mph using their sturdy, long legs instead of their wings to move along. This speedy bird can fly, but roadrunners prefer to spend most of their time on the ground, hunting for insects, eggs small lizards and snakes.
