Emerald Tree Boa
(Corallus caninus)

The emerald tree boa (Corallus caninus) is the fastest moving of all boas, catching birds on the wing with its sharp fangs. It’s a also a good swimmer. The emerald tree boa spends most of it’s life high above ground where it wraps it’s bright green coils around a branch and patiently waits for such prey as lizard small mammals and large insects.

Emerald tree boas are indigenous to the Amazon River basin in South America.
